WELCOME TO MADRES KITCHEN
Madres Kitchen is run by passionate bad-asses who love food and people, and any gathering that brings them together. We're BIPOC and women-owned. We source from local, sustainable farmers and businesses because we think it's not just cool, but vital to walk the land that grows the food we use and break bread with farmers who grow it. We give a damn about the planet!
Owners Erika Rivas and Luis Sanchez have been at the heart of Madres Kitchen for years. Luis creates the kitchen’s delights with curiosity and magic while Erika’s vision leads the way with people, service, and celebration. When Erika and Luis purchased Madres Kitchen from its founders in 2021, the business and its team truly stayed in the family.
Erika loves “making the party happen” having done nearly every job there is to do to ensure each event’s success. “From the day I joined Madres in 2013 I loved the team and felt like I was home.” Erika knows the flow of a successful event, having seen pretty much every situation that could need handling to ensure smooth experiences for guests and their hosts.
When the opportunity came to help Madres’ founders fulfill their dream of shepherding the company into the hands of trusted friends who embraced the Madres way to treat people and feed people, Erika and Luis jumped at it.
Like the founders they worked with and purchased the business from, Erika and Luis love the company’s values of working closely with clients to create great events and supporting local agricultural and other suppliers. They’re excited to carry on the traditions behind the company’s good name, and take it to new heights.
