A graduate of the Seattle Culinary Academy and a veteran of the
food industry of which Madres truly benefits.
Her extensive travel through South America and Mexico and her
time living in Ecuador has helped shape her culinary opinions
on the importance of sourcing fresh local ingredients.
In addition, she knows what tastes great and understands
what people like. Kristen uses fresh, organic produce and
supports local farmers and sustainable businesses in her
quest for the finest and most interesting ingredients.
Ultimately, Kristen creates what we all want: amazing
food that tastes delicious and happens to be good for
you and our community.
Brings to Madres her
extensive experience in the world of corporate sales and program
coordination of which she practiced at the University of Washington .
With the birth of her son, Zak, she felt that there was
much more to life than the flimsy walls of a cubicle and
wanted a way to connect to her community. More importantly,
she wanted to provide inspiration for her son's life and
watch him grow up close at hand. Heather's great energy
and enthusiasm lets her wear many hats at Madres,
managing the business side and tackling whatever needs to
get done: deliveries, menu development, marketing,
frosting cookies to the wee hours of the morning.
As an employee, she was so passionate about the way Madres does business
that she took the plunge to being an owner. With years of experience in a wide
variety of cooking and baking techniques, Marci enjoys the challenge and
creativity of customized and specially decorated pastries, earning her
the position title of Epicure of Sweet Things. A Seattle native, this
Italian girl lives by the saying that nothing should ever be left unloved.
She puts her love into it all, and you can taste it in every bite.
